		<description>Dear Reader,
I am working for SABIC innovative plastics (previously GE-plastics) part of the bigger SABIC. I am within SABIC-ip Globally responsible for Turnaround management. At this moment in time we have an Oracle ERP environment in SABIC –ip but because of the change in ownership we will move in time to a SAP environment similar to the whole of SABIC.
In Turnaround management in SABIC-ip we use Primavera as the Project management tool interfaced to EMPAC our CMMS.
I am involved in many discussion around the future migration to SAP making our Computerized Maintenance management System (CMMS) EMPAC obsolete.
But will Primavera be obsolete also for Turnaround management? In industry and In SABIC) many SAP users have Primavera P6 interfaced or synchronized to SAP- maintenance modules. Why is this? And why do big ( Petro) Chemical companies no use SAP-PS for Turnaround management?
So far I have had many mixed answers to this questions, I am looking forward to your opinion on this subject.
